25 May Embrace the Feeling of Frustration
Frustration is a common emotional response that comes when we experience opposition or conflict within ourselves or in relation to others. As part of frustration, we may feel disappointed, irritable, annoyed or even angry. It can come as a result of not achieving what we want. This ties in with our expectation and how we react to circumstances when we for some reason cannot get the desired outcome or do what we planned. Too much frustration and inner conflict creates physical, emotional and mental stress in our body, mind and soul and it’s important to find ways to deal with it.
This video shows how you can think differently about frustration and help shift your focus away from being frustrated (and identifying with it) to embracing the frustration with self-compassion. It is not about ‘getting rid of’ emotions, but rather how we meet ourselves in the core of our being.
